Dave the Diver passes 10 million copies sold, studio teases franchise plans
The deep-sea sushi adventure Dave the Diver has now sold more than 10 million copies, according to a report from PC Gamer. Studio Mintrocket celebrated the milestone and hinted at future projects.
Game director Jaeho Hwang said the team is "blown away" by the ongoing passion for the game years after its launch. He added that Mintrocket is looking forward to expanding the Dave the Diver franchise.
Part of those plans includes the previously announced spin-off, Bancho The Chef. Described as a cooking simulation and adventure game, it will follow the restaurant's chef in his younger days. A release date is not set, but it is available for pre-purchase on Steam.
The In the Jungle expansion, released earlier this year, is also performing well, per the outlet. The DLC was noted for its substantial content.
