Disney reveals the huge final cost of making Deadpool & Wolverine

The price of bringing together Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman was enormous, according to a new report. Per Forbes, Disney's total spend on Deadpool & Wolverine reached a staggering $556.8 million.

The final cost includes all expenses for the Marvel Studios film, not just the initial production budget. After applying $110.7 million in UK tax credits, the net cost came down to $446.1 million, as reported by /Film.

A Disney financial controller, Tracy Bermingham, stated that final costs exceeded the original production budget. The movie, which was filmed during the 2023 industry strikes, required more spending than planned to be completed.

Despite the high cost, the film became a major box office success. It grossed over $1.3 billion globally, making it a financial win for the studio.

The movie is now available for purchase on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD.
