Dolph Lundgren says there's no sequel script for cult sci-fi flick

Dolph Lundgren says there's no sequel script for cult sci-fi flick

Dolph Lundgren has shot down whispers of a follow-up to his 1990 cult sci-fi action film 'I Come in Peace' (also known as 'Dark Angel').

During a recent Reddit AMA, the action star was asked about rumors of a sequel script, per ScreenRant. He clarified he's never seen one, though he enjoyed making and watching the original.

Lundgren said, "Hi, no I never read a script for a sequel. I did enjoy both making the film and watching it. A lot of people have told me that it would be a great remake."

In the film, Lundgren played Detective Jack Caine, a cop who teams with an FBI agent to stop an alien drug dealer. Rumors of a sequel were fueled by co-star Matthias Hues back in 2021.

With no script in Lundgren's hands, the sequel seems dead. The actor did note that many have suggested a remake could work instead.

Currently, there are no known plans to revisit the cult classic, which stands apart from the larger franchises like 'Rocky' and 'Aquaman' that Lundgren has been part of.
