ESPN Enlists Marvel's Vision to Promote ElClásico Match on ABC

Marvel's android hero Vision is pulling double duty. Not only is he launching a new Disney+ series, but he's been recruited by ESPN to hype up Sunday's historic broadcast of ElClásico, the famous soccer rivalry between Barcelona and Real Madrid, per Variety.
The collaboration between ESPN and Marvel Studios includes a short promotional spot featuring the voice of Paul Bettany, the actor behind the synthezoid. A Q&A with Bettany about soccer has been posted across ESPN FC social accounts, and a motion poster has appeared on Instagram and TikTok Stories.
A custom version of that promo is set to air during the pre-game coverage in both English and Spanish. ESPN FC's social channels will also share the clip ahead of kickoff.
The match marks the first time the U.S. broadcast rights for ElClásico have landed on ABC. The game kicks off at 4 p.m. Eastern on October 2 and can also be streamed on ESPN's digital platforms and watched on its Spanish-language channel.
