Extraction 3 Wraps Filming, Netflix Universe Expands

Chris Hemsworth has finished shooting his next round of bone-crunching action. According to MovieWeb, principal photography on 'Extraction 3' has officially concluded in Thailand, sending the Netflix sequel into post-production.
Hemsworth confirmed the wrap on Instagram, sharing a behind-the-scenes look at what he called his "crazy few weeks" filming intense sequences. Sam Hargrave is back directing from a script by David Weil, with plans for the franchise's signature long-take action set pieces to get even bigger.
The shoot reportedly lasted four months, moving through several European locales and parts of Australia before its final leg in Thailand. While plot details are under wraps, the story is expected to follow the dramatic ending of 'Extraction 2'.
Netflix is planning a whole universe around the property. Upcoming projects include 'Mercenary', a TV spin-off starring Omar Sy set in Morocco, and 'Tygo', a South Korean film featuring martial arts star Don Lee.
The streamer is targeting a mid-2027 debut for 'Extraction 3'.
