First Teaser Arrives for Hulu's New 'Prison Break: Black Creek' Reboot
Hulu has dropped the first teaser for its upcoming 'Prison Break' reboot, confirming production is underway. The brief video, posted to YouTube, offers a quick look at a prison interior where a table appears to be part of a planned breakout, per MovieWeb.
The new series, titled 'Prison Break: Black Creek', stars Emily Browning as Cassidy Collins, a correctional officer and ex-soldier plotting an escape for someone close to her. The cast also includes Margot Martindale, Lili Taylor, and Lukas Gage.
Original creator Paul T. Scheuring is onboard as an executive producer. Browning hinted to MovieWeb that the approach is fresh, saying, "It's a different take." She also suggested as many as three seasons could be planned.
Lukas Gage, playing an aspiring politician, indicated the reboot will be darker than the Fox original. "It's gritty and it's dark and it's scary," Gage said, noting the lack of network TV restrictions on Hulu allows for a more intense tone.
