Geralt Barbarian skin for Diablo 4 is a Battle.net exclusive perk
A new cosmetic collaboration between Diablo 4 and The Witcher 3 has been revealed, but getting it requires a specific purchase. According to reports from IGN and Nintendo Life, a Barbarian skin modeled after Geralt of Rivia will be available to players who buy the next Witcher 3 expansion, Songs of the Past, specifically on Blizzard's Battle.net store.
The skin was shown during a BlizzCon 2026 panel. IGN reports that this means players who own The Witcher 3 on other platforms, like Steam, would need to purchase the game again on Battle.net to qualify for the Diablo 4 item. This condition has drawn criticism from some fans online.
One social media user criticized the idea of buying the game again on another platform, per IGN. Another commenter called the skin's visual design poor in the revealed image.
CD Projekt Red staff on the panel explained the creative choice, noting they chose the Barbarian class for Geralt due to both being strong melee fighters. The design is based on Geralt's Kaer Morhen armor with added Barbarian-style fur.
Nintendo Life notes the collaboration is currently confirmed for PC, with console news pending. CD Projekt Red stated this skin is just the beginning, with more Witcher-themed content planned for Diablo 4 in 2027.
