GTA 6 has the highest purchase intent ever measured before release

Even before its launch, Grand Theft Auto VI is showing unprecedented demand. According to data from Circana, reported by GameSpot, the upcoming game holds a 29% purchase intent among console and PC gamers in the United States.
This means nearly one in three gamers surveyed in the US plan to buy the title. The figure is said to be the highest purchase intent Circana has ever recorded for a game before its release.
Purchase intent data is a key indicator of pre-release hype and can predict strong initial sales. The data for GTA 6 significantly outpaces the typical pre-launch figures for other major blockbuster titles.
Rockstar Games' next entry in the series is scheduled for release on November 19. If the purchase intent translates to actual sales, the game's launch could be historic.
