Heat 2 is set for record-breaking budget, with plans for Heat 3 already cooking
Michael Mann's long-awaited sequel to the 1995 crime classic is heating up with a massive budget. ScreenRant reports that Heat 2, which will star Christian Bale, is on track for a record-breaking budget before production even begins.
According to JoBlo, Amazon MGM, which won the rights to the project, is already so confident in the sequel that they're plotting a third film. The studio is reportedly making plans for Heat 3, betting big on the continuation of the crime epic.
The original Heat starred Robert De Niro and Al Pacino and is considered a landmark thriller. The sequel will adapt Mann's novel of the same name, which bridges the story before and after the events of the first film.
