Jacques Audiard teams with Netflix for new horror movie

Oscar-nominated director Jacques Audiard is heading into the horror genre for his next Netflix project, according to an exclusive report from Variety.

The streamer has reportedly optioned the rights to Jean-Baptiste Del Amo's acclaimed horror novel "La Nuit ravagée." Audiard, fresh off his Best Picture nod for "Emilia Pérez," will develop the film adaptation.

This marks a quick reunion between Audiard and Netflix, who backed his previous musical crime drama. The director is now pivoting to what is described as an "elevated horror" film.
