Jason Statham's Mutiny Rises to Number One on Streaming Charts
Jason Statham's latest action flick has blasted to the top of the streaming rankings. According to MovieWeb, *Mutiny* became the most popular title on the Apple TV Store just one day after hitting digital platforms.
The film features Statham as Cole Reed, a bodyguard framed for the murder of his billionaire client. He then boards a ship to hunt the real killers, uncovering a larger conspiracy with the help of a colleague played by Annabelle Wallis.
The movie had a rocky road to release. Per the report, it was originally slated for January 2026 but was delayed after an unintended early appearance on a major streamer. It finally hit theaters in August but underperformed, grossing $26 million against a $40 million budget.
Lionsgate moved it to digital shortly after, where it has found a more receptive audience. It now sits above other major hits like *Moana* and *Toy Story 5* on the charts.
Directed by Jean-François Richet, the 95-minute thriller is described as a claustrophobic, single-setting story in the vein of Statham's recent work like *The Beekeeper*.
