Jeremy Allen White and Renate Reinsve reportedly met Marvel for X-Men roles

The casting carousel for Marvel's X-Men reboot is spinning with some intriguing new names. Per /Film, actors Jeremy Allen White and Renate Reinsve have reportedly met with the studio about potential roles.

According to the report, Jeremy Allen White, star of The Bear, has had discussions about playing Wolverine. The role is rumored to start small in the upcoming reboot but would be built up significantly in future installments.

In separate news from the same outlet, Renate Reinsve, known for Backrooms and The Worst Person in the World, has allegedly met with Marvel about playing Moira MacTaggert. This would mark the character's first appearance in the MCU, though the report stresses the casting is not confirmed. Reinsve has previously expressed doubts about joining a superhero franchise on a podcast.

The reports suggest Marvel is actively filling out its mutant roster. The studio previously announced a cast including Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Adam Driver as Mr. Sinister at D23, but Wolverine was notably absent from that lineup.

Jake Schreier is set to direct the X-Men reboot, which is scheduled for a May 5, 2028 theatrical release.
