Jeremy Strong treated co-stars like Zuckerberg on 'The Social Reckoning' set
Aaron Sorkin says Jeremy Strong fully committed to his role as Mark Zuckerberg in the upcoming 'Social Network' sequel.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sorkin told the cast that Strong would treat them the way he imagines the Meta CEO treats people. He said the actor would not hang out between takes or speak in his own voice.
Sorkin explained the method approach to The New York Times, stating he warned the other actors what to expect. 'You cannot argue with the results,' Sorkin said.
Per the outlet, Strong also emailed Zuckerberg after getting the part to express his sense of responsibility. He said his job is to understand and defend Zuckerberg's point of view.
TheWrap adds that Sorkin originally wanted David Fincher to direct the sequel, but Fincher's Netflix deal made it difficult. Sorkin directed it himself to get the film out before the 2026 midterm elections.
'The Social Reckoning,' starring Jeremy Allen White and Mikey Madison, is set to open in theaters on October 9.
