Josh Hartnett battles a sea beast in first trailer for Netflix thriller Below
Netflix has dropped the first spooky teaser for its new thriller series, Below, starring Josh Hartnett. According to Variety, the six-episode show casts Hartnett as a Newfoundland fisherman whose small seaside community is terrorized by a mysterious sea creature.
ScreenRant notes the series is being pitched as Stephen King-esque, following the success of Apple TV+'s Widow's Bay. The trailer, released by Netflix, hints at more than just a monster, with TVLine reporting it involves unearthing long-buried secrets.
The series is set for a world premiere at TIFF 2026. For now, the only thing clear is that Hartnett's character is in way over his head.
