Fox's Baywatch reboot with Stephen Amell lands winter premiere date

The slow-motion run is returning to television. Fox has set a January 6, 2027 premiere date for its new 'Baywatch' series, according to reports from Variety and TVLine.
The show, a continuation of the 1990s lifeguard drama, will air at 9 p.m. on Wednesday nights. A new trailer has also been released, showcasing the series' signature beachside action.
Stephen Amell leads the cast as Hobie Buchannon, the son of original character Mitch, who is now a Baywatch captain. His life gets complicated by the arrival of his previously unknown daughter, Charlie, played by Jessica Belkin, who wants to join the squad.
The ensemble includes a mix of new and familiar faces. Series regulars feature actors like Hassie Harrison and Shay Mitchell, while recurring roles include social media star Livvy Dunne. Several actors from the original series, including David Chokachi, are set to reprise their roles.
The reboot was ordered for a 12-episode season. Matt Nix is the showrunner, with McG directing the premiere episode and serving as an executive producer.
