Kit Harington says Jon Snow sequel still possible, feels ready to return
Kit Harington has officially confirmed that talks for a Jon Snow 'Game of Thrones' sequel could be revived. Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the actor revealed the project was in development for two years before he pulled the plug, believing the story wasn't strong enough at the time, per Collider.
Harington said he, HBO, and author George R.R. Martin were all initially insistent that they would only proceed if the idea was right. He ultimately decided it wasn't, but clarified that he still thinks a version of the show could work.
The actor now says his perspective has shifted. After taking time away to play other roles, he feels a renewed sense of ease with the character and the world of Westeros, according to his interview.
In related news, Harington also discussed his upcoming role in HBO's 'Harry Potter' series. He told the podcast that accepting the part of Gilderoy Lockhart was an immediate 'yes,' admitting he's a huge fan of the franchise, Variety reports. He previously voiced the character in audiobooks, which he uses to help him sleep.
