Kojima Updates OD and Physint, Thanks Xbox for Belief
Hideo Kojima shared new details about his upcoming projects during Xbox's Tokyo Game Show presentation, per VGC. He reported that development on the horror title OD is "progressing smoothly."
Performance capture and ADR recording have resumed after a pause during the SAG strike, and Kojima said production is on schedule. He praised actors Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer for their "intense and outstanding performances." Kojima also referred to the project as OD-KNOCK, which may be a segment of the larger, anthology-style OD.
Separately, he revealed the star of his action-espionage game Physint. Bill Skarsgård, known for playing Pennywise in the 'It' films, has been cast in the lead role. He joins previously announced cast members Charlee Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe.
Kojima stated he and Skarsgård have been admirers of one another's careers for years. He called Physint, now being published by Xbox, "the culmination of more than 40 years of my career."
He concluded by directly thanking Xbox for "believing in our vision and walking this path toward the future alongside us." This follows last week's news that Xbox picked up Physint after Kojima claimed PlayStation tried to cancel it.
