Lanterns Star Breaks Down Zoe's Death And John Stewart's Surprising Move
Per TVLine, Poorna Jagannathan has revealed new details about her character Zoe's final moments in the latest episode of Lanterns.
Zoe, the Manhunter and wife of Will Macon, was killed when she went to the motel to kill Hal Jordan. She did not realize John Stewart had her in his rifle's sights.
The actress notes that John is one of the few people who could surprise Zoe. She tells TVLine that Zoe is "blindsided by his free-will." Jagannathan says this is shown when Zoe looks up and sees John pointing a gun at her, realizing he has outmaneuvered her.
That's why Zoe smiles just before John pulls the trigger, according to the star.
Elsewhere in the interview, Garret Dillahunt discussed his character Will's nude scene from a previous episode. He says everyone on set had a good sense of humor about it and the crew pre-lit the scene to be flattering.
Dillahunt recalls trying to get in shape for the scene because Will was supposed to be unnaturally fit. He thought his days of being naked on screen were over, but found the resulting moment "kind of funny, in its weird, uncomfortable way."
