Leaker Claims Nintendo Is Developing New Smash Bros and Nintendogs
A fresh wave of Nintendo rumors is crashing ahead of this week's Direct presentations, and a new source is at the center of it. According to IGN and Kotaku, a leaker known as Malo932, who correctly predicted this week's two Nintendo Directs, is now making bigger claims.
The leaker states a completely new Super Smash Bros. game is in development, not just an enhanced port of Ultimate. They also claim Nintendo is reviving the pet simulator Nintendogs, which hasn't seen a new entry in over a decade.
Per the reports, Malo932's other claims include a Star Fox-themed expansion for Mario Kart planned for 2027, a new adventure game starring Fox McCloud, a new Wario Land title, a pixel-art remake of a classic Metroid, and a new 3D Mario game. Many of these claims have been echoed by the more established leaker NateTheHate, notes IGN.
The story took a strange turn, as Kotaku reports Malo932 has since scrubbed their online comments and changed their profile name, sparking speculation they may have shared too much. Nintendo will host a Zelda-focused Direct and a general showcase this week, where some of these rumors could be confirmed or debunked.
