Netflix's JonBenét Ramsey True Crime Series Sets December Release Date
Netflix has set a premiere date for its new limited series about the JonBenét Ramsey case. According to Variety, "The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey" will launch on December 10.
The streamer also released a first look photo, per JoBlo. It shows Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen as the child's parents, Patsy and John Ramsey. Emily Mitchell will star as JonBenét in the show, which explores the unsolved 1996 murder.
Variety reports the project is overseen by Richard LaGravenese, who will run the show and also write and produce. Anne Sewitsky is directing and executive producing. The writing team includes Harrison Query and Tommy Wallach.
The series was initially greenlit at Paramount+ before moving to Netflix last July. It finished filming in early 2025. This marks Netflix's second project about the case, following a 2024 documentary series that was a major viewership hit for the platform.
