Prime Video's new 'Reagler' spin-off series 'Neagley' has quickly climbed the streaming charts. According to MovieWeb, the show became the second most popular series on the platform globally and in the U.S. after just one day of availability. It reportedly beat out other Prime Video originals and all movies on the service to hold that spot, while the original 'Reacher' series maintains the top position.
The outlet noted that series creator Nicholas Wootton is already looking ahead. Per MovieWeb, Wootton told Collider that a major storyline involving the character Renee, with help from Keno, is planned for a potential second season, stating the creative team has it all figured out and written.
A renewal decision from Amazon is reportedly pending as the streamer gauges audience reaction to the new show.
MovieWeb's analysis suggested the show faces a tonal challenge, arguing that while the 'Reacher' universe is bombastic, Frances Neagley is a more grounded character, creating a clash.
