Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4 remakes launch on Switch 2 next month
Capcom is bringing its trio of survival horror remakes to Nintendo's new console. According to IGN, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 will hit the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16.
Nintendo Life reports the games will be available as separate digital downloads. Resident Evil 2 will be a Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 4 will be the Gold Edition, and Resident Evil 3 is listed without a special edition subtitle. All included DLC, such as the Separate Ways story for Resident Evil 4, will be part of the packages.
Physical versions are confirmed but won't arrive until much later. IGN states they are scheduled for January 2027.
Nintendo Life also listed pricing. The standard digital prices are £34.99 for RE2, £24.99 for RE3, and £44.99 for RE4, with pre-order discounts available. This marks the first time the 2024 remake of Resident Evil 4 will be playable natively on a Nintendo system, as the outlet notes previous Switch versions of RE2 and RE3 were cloud-based.
