Robert Pattinson's A24 Thriller 'Primetime' Yanked From Over 2,500 Theaters

Robert Pattinson's A24 crime thriller 'Primetime' has been yanked from the vast majority of its theatrical screens. According to Collider, the film has been pulled from 2,573 venues, leaving it in a scant 321 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
The movie casts Pattinson as the real-life former TV host Chris Hansen, known for the 'To Catch a Predator' series. The story dramatizes Hansen's attempts to trap predators while chasing his own television ambitions, which get derailed when a major sting operation goes wrong.
Despite the sharp drop in locations, per the outlet, the film is considered a hit for the studio. It reportedly opened to $18.8 million domestically and has earned roughly $45.3 million in North America to date.
The film is directed by Lance Oppenheim and also features Skyler Gisondo, Phoebe Bridgers, and Merritt Wever. A digital release is scheduled for November 3.
