A24 has dropped a fresh trailer for the upcoming thriller 'Primetime,' starring Robert Pattinson as 'To Catch a Predator' host Chris Hansen. The clip showcases several positive quotes about the film, per MovieWeb.
The movie is set to open in theaters on September 25, 2026. According to MovieWeb, the story draws from a 2007 Esquire magazine piece about the suicide of Bill Conradt following a 'Dateline' sting operation.
Chris Hansen, however, is not a fan. The real-life host, who is not part of the production, has criticized the project. He reportedly declined to watch an early cut, claiming the studio wanted rights he wasn't willing to give, a point A24 disputes.
JoBlo reports the new preview highlights the intense critical praise the film has received. In a unique counter-move, Hansen has purchased ad space to run before every theater showing of 'Primetime,' the trailer directs viewers to his own streaming service, TruBlu.
