Shoppers report hidden coupon slashing $20 off Zelda Ocarina of Time preorder

Shoppers report hidden coupon slashing $20 off Zelda Ocarina of Time preorder

A sneaky promo code is reportedly slicing the price of a highly anticipated Switch 2 remake. According to IGN, some Walmart shoppers are using a hidden coupon to knock $20 off a preorder for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, bringing the cost down to about $50.

The code in question is SAVE3X. An IGN editor successfully used it to preorder the game, while another staffer's attempt failed, suggesting the deal's availability is inconsistent. Per the outlet, it may only work for the first three online purchases by a new Walmart customer, though that rule doesn't seem to be universally applied.

Reports indicate the code might only apply if a shopper selects delivery or pickup options at checkout, rather than standard shipping. The game's physical copy already sells for $10 below its $69.99 manufacturer's suggested retail price at Walmart and Amazon, a common preorder discount for Switch 2 titles.

The Ocarina of Time remake is scheduled to launch on November 5, 2026. IGN notes the physical version will come entirely on a game cartridge, with no download code required.
