Stallone reveals he has written a script for 'Rocky 7'

Sylvester Stallone says he's penned a potential new chapter for the Italian Stallion. In an interview with TV Insider, the actor confirmed he has written a script and story for a movie he calls "Rocky 7."

According to MovieWeb, Stallone described his idea as exploring Rocky Balboa's life outside of boxing. He said the story would focus on "how the world is changing around him" and how the character devotes himself to helping the less fortunate.

Stallone admitted he doesn't know if audiences would find the concept interesting, noting he wrote it primarily for himself. The 80-year-old star last appeared as Rocky in a solo film with 2006's *Rocky Balboa*, followed by supporting roles in the *Creed* series.

He also discussed the potential for a prequel film, per the outlet. Stallone said he finds the characters' origins "fascinating" and has ideas for how their paths crossed during the 1960s, a period of major social change he would love to explore.

In related news reported by JoBlo, Stallone is currently promoting the upcoming biopic *I Play Rocky*, which stars Anthony Ippolito as a younger version of the actor during his struggle to get the original *Rocky* film made.
