Switch 2 sales dip year-on-year but surpass 23 million units
Nintendo's latest financials are out, and the Switch 2's numbers are a bit of a mixed bag. The new console has now sold over 23 million units, a total that officially surpasses the GameCube's lifetime sales, according to Nintendo Life.
The company reports shifting 3.82 million Switch 2 consoles in the first quarter of its fiscal year. However, that figure represents a significant 34.4% drop compared to the same period last year.
Nintendo is calling its sales "solid" despite the dip, but the report comes just after the company implemented price hikes for the console in Japan.
