The Elder Scrolls 6 is finally named Sentinel after over eight years

Xbox and Bethesda have formally announced the title of their long-awaited fantasy RPG, per Eurogamer. The game will be called The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel.

The reveal came via a new trailer released on November 3, 2026. The video showed visual effects involving sand before displaying the official subtitle. A voiceover in the clip featured a quote from a character identified as a Moth Priest serving a ruler from Hammerfell.

The trailer's description thanked fans for 40 years of support, signaling a major anniversary for Bethesda Game Studios. This confirmation follows a report from last week that accurately predicted both the November reveal and the Hammerfell setting.

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma mentioned she had played the game in August. That playtest occurred as union protests, including a large inflatable rat, were happening outside the Bethesda offices.

Former Bethesda designer Bruce Nesmith previously explained the studio's silence, noting a philosophy that it's best to start promoting a game only six months before launch. The new footage has sparked speculation that more could be shown at The Game Awards in December.
