Trinity trailer debuts Richard Madden and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in Netflix conspiracy thriller
Netflix has dropped the first trailer for its new political thriller series, Trinity, TVLine reports. The show is set to premiere on Tuesday, December 1.
The series, from Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio, stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Commander Katherine Decker, a naval officer. She teams up with Richard Madden's outwardly charming Secretary of Defense, Webb Preston, after a submarine narrowly avoids a mistaken nuclear launch.
As they work to protect Decker's crew and investigate a national threat, Decker grows suspicious that Preston may be hiding a more sinister agenda, per the trailer's plot.
The supporting cast includes Marcia Gay Harden, JD Pardo, Bruce Greenwood, and James Remar. Mercurio is the creator, showrunner, writer, and executive producer.
