It's a mixed bag that people are watching mostly for the cast and the slick, glossy look. Ella Hunt's AJ and Avantika's Abby are clear standouts, with their characters' journeys being the most engaging parts of the story about five workaholics in Murray Hill. The big criticism is that the whole premise feels deeply unoriginal, and the story itself isn't landing for most. While Mindy Kaling's involvement got a lot of attention, the reaction to her role was overwhelmingly negative. The humor works well enough and the show is visually stunning, but it struggles to feel fresh or necessary.
