The word is largely positive for this animated adventure, mostly thanks to its stunning visuals and the reliably charming energy of Aang and the Gaang. Eric Nam's Aang carries the quest well, and the humor lands, but the story itself feels too familiar and thin for a lot of people, dragging the pace down. Some fans were particularly let down by how Sokka was handled, and the new villain didn't leave much of an impression. It's a solid, beautiful-looking return to this world that just doesn't feel all that fresh.
