Nicolas Winding Refn brings his signature neon-soaked, slow-burn style to this story of a woman searching for her father and a soldier trying to rescue his daughter from Hell, and it's predictably polarizing. While some fans of the director dig the vibes, a lot of people find the story of Elle Thunders and Private K an incoherent mess that's more style than substance. The cast, including Sophie Thatcher and Charles Melton, gets lost in the foggy, atmospheric visuals, which are the main talking point. Ultimately, it's a classic Refn experience that will please his devotees and frustrate almost everyone else.
