The film

After a mysterious bout of amnesia, a beloved children’s television host struggles to piece together his fractured memories, only to find his once-cheerful puppet co-stars behaving with sinister intent. As reality unravels, the line between performance and nightmare begins to blur.

The Real Review

Michael Gilio's performance as the amnesiac children's host James Jensen is the rock-solid anchor for this bizarre and original nightmare. People love the unsettling, original concept of cheerful puppets turning sinister, and the story itself is a major strength, even as reality blurs. That said, the film's pacing is a real problem for a lot of viewers, grinding the creepy momentum to a halt. While the villainous Monkey puppet and the show's "Magic Merry Go Round" left people cold, the sheer creativity of it all mostly wins out.
