Most people think it's a perfectly fine, if familiar, Paw Patrol adventure, where the pups meet a new dino friend named Rex to save an island from Mayor Humdinger's mess. The core appeal of Marshall and the team's rescue action still works for the kids, and the dinosaurs are a hit whenever they show up. But a vocal group is clearly tired of the formula, calling it unoriginal and pointing fingers at the director and studio for playing it safe yet again.
