Before release
Updated nightlyThis is a mixed-to-negative first look, with the Cat's new mission to cheer up siblings Gabby and Sebastian getting panned by a vocal group. The main point of contention is the casting, especially Bill Hader as the Cat, which has drawn nothing but negative reaction. The visuals are the only thing getting real praise, while the story and originality are seen as weak. A few people are nostalgic for Mike Myers, but overall, this cat seems to have landed on the wrong side of the fence.
