People think this is a good-looking, well-acted movie that's unfortunately a slog to get through. Hugh Jackman gives a committed performance as the gravely injured Robin Hood seeking salvation, and the visuals are striking, but the pacing is brutally slow and the story feels thin. There's a vocal split on whether director Michael Sarnoski's somber, original take works, with many finding it a pretentious drag despite the strong craft on display.
