Adam Driver finally says yes to Marvel as Mister Sinister in new X-Men

Adam Driver has broken his long-standing tradition of turning down Marvel roles. He's finally signed on to play the villain Mister Sinister in the upcoming X-Men reboot, according to Variety.
The actor explained his decision on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He said he's a big fan of the X-Men and that the role felt like the right opportunity at the right time. Driver cited the director, Jake Schreier, and Marvel boss Kevin Feige as key reasons for joining, calling the script "really cool."
Driver admitted to being selective about Marvel movies due to their massive audience. He said he's avoided them because "a lot of people are going to watch it, and if it's bad... a lot of people will see you being bad."
Feige recently confirmed the long-running tradition of Driver passing on roles, calling Zooms with the actor a standard part of the casting process for potential projects. Driver will play Dr. Nathaniel Essex, the superintelligent, shape-shifting villain who will face off against a team including Sadie Sink as Jean Grey and Christopher Abbott as Charles Xavier.
