American Horror Story season 13 sets premiere date with returning legends
FX has officially set American Horror Story's 13th season to premiere on September 24. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the season will air on FX and Hulu, featuring 13 half-hour episodes with a unique release schedule.
Showrunner Ryan Murphy told the outlet this season is "a thank you to the fans for continuing to watch." It will see a massive reunion of franchise veterans, including Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, and Evan Peters reprising multiple iconic roles from past seasons.
Murphy described the ensemble as "like the Avengers," with characters from across the series' history coming together. He specifically noted that Paulson plays six or seven roles, Lange returns as all four of her classic characters, and Peters portrays five.
The season also introduces several new faces to the anthology. Fresh cast members reportedly include actors from other Ryan Murphy projects and newcomers like Madelaine Petsch and Avantika.
Logline details promise an installment that honors the show's legacy while introducing new terrors. Murphy also teased that original costumes from earlier seasons will appear as Easter eggs within the set design.
