Asa Germann from 'Gen V' joins Marvel's 'X-Men' as Angel
Marvel Studios has added another name to its growing roster of mutants. Per Variety, Asa Germann, known for his role in "Gen V," is set to play the winged hero Angel in the upcoming "X-Men" reboot.
He will be part of an ensemble that includes Sadie Sink, Kit Connor, Samara Weaving, Inde Navarrette, Christopher Abbott, and Maya Boyd as various classic characters. The casting for the new team was initially announced by Marvel's Kevin Feige at the D23 event last month.
Adam Driver is on board to portray the villain Mr. Sinister, with Jake Schreier directing. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2028.
Germann gained recognition playing Sam Riordan on Amazon's "Gen V," a series spun off from "The Boys." His other credits include roles in "Scream 7" and an episode of Netflix's "Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story." According to the report, Marvel had no comment on the casting news.
