Capcom's Q1 earnings soar as Resident Evil Requiem and Pragmata post huge sales

Capcom just posted another monster quarter, per the company's latest financial report. According to figures reported by outlets including VGC and Nintendo Life, Resident Evil Requiem has sold over 8 million copies, while the new IP Pragmata has defied expectations by moving 2.5 million units in just three months.

These strong launches helped fuel a massive financial surge. VGC reports Q1 net sales were up 54% and operating profit up 67% year-on-year.

Push Square notes this continues Capcom's "wild run," with other series like Monster Hunter and Street Fighter also hitting record highs. Nintendo Life points out that the Resident Evil series has now become the best-selling Japanese third-party game series ever, with Requiem leading the charge.
