Courteney Cox wants to direct the next Scream movie
Courteney Cox is gunning for the director's chair on Scream 8.
Per a report from JoBlo, the actress, who has played reporter Gale Weathers in every single Scream film, is openly interested in helming the next installment.
She reportedly wants the job, though no official decision has been announced by the studio or producers.
Cox has some directing experience under her belt, having previously directed episodes of the sitcom Cougar Town.
