Daisy Ridley to star in Paramount+ Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea reboot

Daisy Ridley is diving deep for a new streaming series. Per JoBlo, the actor is set to lead a reimagining of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea for Paramount+.

The project comes from Akiva Goldsman and Matt Shakman. Details on the plot and Ridley's specific role are still under wraps.

This marks a return to a major franchise for Ridley, though of a very different aquatic kind. She is best known for her role as Rey in the recent Star Wars trilogy.

The original Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea was first a film and then a television series. The new version will stream exclusively on Paramount+.
