Dave Bautista Reportedly in Talks to Play Kratos After Ryan Hurst Injury
It looks like the God of War might get a new face. Reports claim Dave Bautista, the former WWE star famous as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy, is in talks to take over the role of Kratos for Amazon's live-action TV series.
The role was originally set for Ryan Hurst, but VGC reports Hurst had to leave the project following a severe on-set injury. Bautista has apparently shown interest in starring in a Gears of War movie, suggesting he's keen on video game adaptations.
This potential casting switch is still just a rumor, according to Eurogamer and PC Gamer. If the talks pan out, the burly actor would step into the sandals of the iconic Spartan warrior.
