Joe Manganiello still holds out hope for his cancelled Dragonlance TV series

Joe Manganiello isn't ready to let his Dungeons & Dragons series die. According to IGN, the actor confirmed his live-action Dragonlance TV show, which was scrapped in 2024, remains a dream he won't abandon.

Manganiello told the outlet the project was derailed by executive turnover at Entertainment One. He said the executives who originally hired and championed his vision left the company, leaving his script and a related documentary without internal support. "Those projects became nobody's child," Manganiello was quoted as saying.

However, the actor pointed to recent leadership changes at Hasbro's gaming division as a source of new optimism. He specifically named Dan Ayoub, who recently moved into a top executive role, as an ally who understands the project.

"The dream was always, always to be off running a Dragonlance series, and I will never give up hope on that," Manganiello said to IGN. He also suggested the documentary might be closer to release. Still, the report cautions that these are early days for the new management, and no official announcements have been made.
