Disney+ cancels Daredevil: Born Again after season three
Charlie Cox’s time as the Man Without Fear is officially ending. Variety and The Hollywood Reporter confirm that Marvel's Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again will conclude with its upcoming third season.
Production on the final season finished roughly two months ago, per THR, and the show is currently being finalized for a 2027 debut on the streaming service.
In a related shakeup, showrunner Dario Scardapane has left the project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, his contract was not renewed and he has departed while post-production is still underway, leaving it unclear who will steer the series to completion.
The revival, which brought back Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin, premiered in 2025. Its second season this spring ended with Daredevil imprisoned and his secret identity exposed. Paparazzi photos from the third season shoot, noted by Variety, suggested returns for other Netflix Defenders like Jessica Jones and Iron Fist.
