Disney is working on a fifth 'Halloweentown' movie

A new 'Halloweentown' film is in the works at Disney, according to Variety. The project is currently in early development.
The script is being penned by scribes Lily Houghton and Ryan Koehn, the outlet reports. The new story will use characters created by Paul Bernbaum, who wrote the original 1998 film.
No story details have been revealed, and the cast is not yet set. Some actors from the past movies have reportedly said they'd be open to returning.
Houghton previously wrote the 2026 horror comedy 'Forbidden Fruits'. Koehn was on the writing staff for the 'Gossip Girl' revival that aired on HBO Max.
If the project gets a green light, the plan is to air it on both Disney Channel and Disney+.
