EA's $55 Billion Saudi Deal to Close Next Week

Get ready to say goodbye to the publicly traded EA you know. The gaming giant is poised to vanish from the stock market next week.

Electronic Arts announced that all regulatory approvals are in, paving the way for its $55 billion acquisition to close on August 4, 2026, per GameSpot. The deal is led by an investor group headed by the Saudi Arabian government, according to filings reported by Kotaku and PC Gamer.

This will make EA a private company once again, ending its long run as a publicly traded entity. The sale is reportedly set to be finalized by the close of trading next Friday.
