Fans rage as new Avengers Doomsday teaser offers only seconds of new footage

A promised new look at Avengers: Doomsday left many fans feeling shortchanged after it aired during the World Series.
According to TheWrap, the teaser played during the first game between the Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers. It showed Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic throwing a ceremonial first pitch, with commentary from MLB players. The clip also included brief looks at Chris Evans back as Steve Rogers and Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom presiding over destruction.
Other heroes like Thor, Black Panther, Ant-Man, and Captain America popped up, but the spot was light on truly new material. This sparked immediate backlash on social media from viewers who felt the payoff wasn't worth the wait.
One fan on X complained, "I had to watch 3 innings of f--king BASEBALL for this s--t." Others echoed the sentiment with posts like "oh so like 3 new seconds lol" and the blunt "THAT'S IT???"
Not everyone was disappointed, however. Some supporters appreciated the studio not revealing too much, with one writing they wanted to "enjoy every minute in that theatre."
The film is penned by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely, with Kevin Feige and the Russo brothers producing. It hits theaters on December 18, ahead of a planned sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, set for 2027.
