Far Cry FX Series Casts Gleeson, Leigh, Linklater, Spruell, Demetriou
FX is stacking the deck for its upcoming "Far Cry" television series with a star-studded ensemble. Variety has learned that five new actors have boarded the adaptation of Ubisoft's chaotic video game franchise.
Leading the charge is Brendan Gleeson, hot off his acclaimed turn in "The Banshees of Inisherin" and beloved for "In Bruges". He's joined by Jennifer Jason Leigh, who brings her formidable presence from "The Hateful Eight" and FX's own "Fargo".
Also signing on are Hamish Linklater, known for "Midnight Mass" and "Widow's Bay", and Sam Spruell, from the upcoming "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" and FX's "Alien: Earth". Rounding out the group is comedian Jamie Demetriou.
The report did not reveal which characters the new cast members will portray. The series remains in development at the cable network.
