Final Dune: Part 3 Trailer Shows Paul Atreides As A Ruthless Emperor
The last preview for Dune: Part Three has arrived, and it makes the hero's dark turn crystal clear. Per /Film, the trailer shows Timothée Chalamet's Paul Atreides has ruled as a genocidal dictator for nearly two decades, amassing enemies across the galaxy.
ScreenRant reports that the conspiracy to bring him down is led by his former lover Chani, played by Zendaya. The footage previews a bloody rebellion against Paul's brutal reign.
Director Denis Villeneuve has called the film a "sophisticated epilogue" to the first two movies, rather than a standard trilogy finale. Chalamet similarly described it as "its own beast," according to /Film.
The official synopsis says Paul must face the consequences of his power as old allies return and new threats emerge. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
